For most, dating is an exciting experience.  The first date means, meeting a new person, new clothes, new shoes and a new chapter in your life.  You want to make sure that you leave a good first impression after the first date.  Take your time and be well prepared for your date.  Leave all your worries and issues at home before going on your date. Here are a few things that must be decided before your first date.

Where to go?

Prior to your date you should have built some sort of friendship or bond with the person you are going on a date with.  The time leading up to the date is very important.  That’s where you learn some of their likes and dislikes.  Hopefully, you remember what interests the person you’re dating has.  Nothing would impress them more then having a date catered to what matters the most to that person.  If you are meeting a person who likes horror or comedy movies, take them to see a horror or comedy movie.  If you are dating someone who likes Italian foods, then take them to an Italian restaurant.  Try to remember what is important to that person. Make them feel special.

Stay home?

If you haven’t taken the time to get to know the person.  The first date should be spent at his/her place having a nice candle lit dinner.  During the dinner take the time to get to know that person.  Have a nice, conservative conversation.  After dinner, watch a movie.  Spend some time bonding but don’t move too fast.  Remain on the conversation side of things.  Being overly aggressive could be a major turn off and could possibly ruin the date.

Surprise!

It is probably a good idea to get the person you are dating some flowers or something they really like. Ultimately, you want to make a good impression but please do not over do thing. Keep it simple.  Keep it sweet. Most people love surprises and giving someone a little something extra to let them know they were on your mind never hurts.

One of he most important aspects of dating is having fun.  Smile often.  Enjoy yourself. Be loose and friendly.  Dating is supposed to be a positive experience for both parties involved.  Make sure the date is not a one-sided affair.  You want to do things that both parties have interest in.  Get out, go date and have tons of fun in the process.
